Not a big story in a game in Las Palmas where 9th ranked Rio Breogan (13-14) was defeated by seventh ranked Gran Canaria (17-11) 77-66 on Saturday. Gran Canaria outrebounded Rio Breogan 32-21 including 21 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Argentinian Nicolas Brussino (205-1993) who scored 21 points. American-Lithuanian John Shurna (204-1990, college: Northwestern) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
