Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked La Spezia (18-7) outscored on the road 12th ranked Vigarano (7-19) 88-56 on Sunday. La Spezia dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vigarano's 32 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Silvia Colognesi (182-2002, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Angelica Castellani (170-2000) chipped in 16 points. Five La Spezia players scored in double figures. Guard Veronica Perini (175-1988) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Isabella Olajide (183-2000) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. La Spezia moved-up to third place.
