There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Scafati (10-16) defeated on the road higher ranked Pesaro (11-14) 86-79 on Sunday. Scafati made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. American center Trevor Thompson (210-1994, college: Ohio St., agency: Octagon Europe) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Polish guard David Logan (185-1982, college: Indianapolis) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Scafati players scored in double figures. Greek forward Vasileios Charalampopoulos (202-1997) responded with 33 points (!!!) (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Serbian-Canadian center Dejan Kravic (210-1990, college: Texas Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Scafati moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Pesaro lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Scafati will meet at home league's leader Virtus BO in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Pesaro will play against Treviso (#14) and hope to secure a win.
