Important game to mention about took place in Mestre. Fourteenth ranked Bergamo (9-18) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-best Mestre (21-5) 93-92 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mestre. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Guglielmo Sodero (191-1993) who led the winners and scored 24 points. Swiss guard Nicolo Isotta (184-2003) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Bergamo's coach Marco Albanesi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Alberto Conti (195-1998) came up with 28 points and Edoardo Caversazio (200-1996) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Mestre in the defeat. Five Bergamo and four Mestre players scored in double figures. Bergamo moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Mestre at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Ruvo di Puglia and Faenza. Bergamo will play against higher ranked San Vendemiano (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mestre will play against Padova Unione and hopes to get back on the winning track.
