No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Avellino (15-12) won against at home 11th ranked Teramo (10-17) 67-59 on Sunday. They outrebounded Teramo 51-35 including a 40-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Andrea Valentini (199-1998, agency: SLN) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. The former international swingman Daniele Sandri (197-1990) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Federico Casoni (201-1997) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Emidio Di Donato (198-1992) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Avellino moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Brianza Casa. Teramo lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Oleggio and Trinita. Avellino will meet Salerno (#10) on the road in the next round. Teramo will play against the league's second-placed Ruvo di Puglia and hope to secure a win.
