Everything could happen in Velika Gorica at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Zabok and 9th ranked Gorica had identical 8-19 record. But Gorica was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Zabok 93-88 on Sunday night. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American point guard RJ Glasper (183-1998, college: UIW) scored 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Tim Bond (201-1995, college: EMU) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Bond is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was forward Jure Gunjina (203-1992, college: GSW) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Ivan Batur (202-1991, agency: AltusBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Zabok and four Gorica players scored in double figures. Zabok (9-19) moved-up to ninth place. Loser Gorica dropped to the tenth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Alkar and Skrljevo. Zabok will meet at home higher ranked Dinamo (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gorica will play against Alkar in Sinj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
