Regular Season Round 29: Monaco - Fos-Provence 82-65

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Fos-Provence (12-17) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Monaco (11-17) 82-65 on Sunday. Monaco outrebounded Fos-Provence 41-26 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman David Nyamaloki (193-2003) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winning side and Monaco swingman Loic Noudogbessi (195-2004) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Willian Marie-Anais (201-2004) came up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2002) added 15 points respectively for Fos-Provence in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Monaco. They maintain thirteenth place with 11-17 record. Loser Fos-Provence keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Monaco will meet at home higher ranked Strasbourg (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fos-Provence will play against Bourg and hope to secure a win.
