Regular Season Round 27: Slask - MKS DG 80-88

There was a surprise result in Wroclaw where eleventh ranked MKS DG (10-17) won against leader WKS Slask (20-7) 88-80 on Monday. The best player for the winners was American Gerry Blakes (193-1993, college: Arizona St., agency: BIG) who scored 27 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Trevon Bluiett (198-1994, college: Xavier) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international point guard Lukasz Kolenda (195-1999) who recorded 18 points and 5 assists and the former international power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-1997) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Five MKS DG and four WKS Slask players scored in double figures. WKS Slask's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MKS DG maintains eleventh place with 10-17 record. Defending champion WKS Slask still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with King. MKS DG will meet higher ranked Spojnia (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WKS Slask will play against Stal (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
