There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Nantes (12-18) defeated at home higher ranked Entente Orleans 45 (16-14) 76-63 on Tuesday. Nantes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Thomas Hieu-Courtois (200-1995) notched 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American-Jamaican center Ryan Rhoomes (203-1992, college: Fordham) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (201-1991, college: Lamar) did not help to save the game for Entente Orleans 45. The former international forward Jeremy Leloup (200-1987) added 9 points and 6 rebounds. Nantes moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Denain-Voltaire and St. Chamond. Loser Entente Orleans 45 dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Vichy Clermont. Nantes will meet at home league's second-placed Chalon/Saor in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Olympique Antibes (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
