Regular Season Round 21: Lyon - Landes 60-62

Top ranked Lyon (17-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Landes (10-11) 62-60. Landes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Swedish power forward Regan Magarity (190-1996, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Celine Dumerc (169-1982) chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Landes' coach Julie Barennes used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Marine Johannes (174-1995) who recorded 15 points and the former international power forward Alexia Chartereau (189-1998) added 12 points respectively. Landes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 10-11 record. Lyon at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Villeneuve. Landes are looking forward to face Hainaut (#10) in Saint-Amand in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lyon will play on the road against Bretagne (#12) in Pleyber-Christ and is hoping to win this game.
