The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sant Josep in Malaga on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Unicaja 67-58. Swingman Marta Ortega (176-2000) scored 14 points and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Salome Garcia (178-1992) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Cristina Loureiro (183-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Alejandra Quirante (167-1992) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unicaja is looking forward to face Plasencia on the road in the next round. Sant Josep will play against Viladecans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
