Regular Season Round 27: Guadalajara - Pozuelo 118-76

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Pozuelo (12-13) was outplayed on the road by third ranked Guadalajara (17-8) 118-76 on Saturday. Guadalajara outrebounded Pozuelo 51-24 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Guadalajara looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Pozuelo's players. It was a great evening for forward David Garcia (200-1999) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Dutch guard Yoeri Hoexum (188-1999) helped adding 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Guadalajara players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Alberto Arias (188-1989) with 26 points and Jose Gil scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guadalajara keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Pozuelo lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Chlorella. Guadalajara will meet Pinto Basket (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Pozuelo will play against the league's second-placed Estudiantes B (#2) and hope to secure a win.
