Top ranked Andorra (26-5) recorded its fifth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Almansa (10-20) 82-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Andorra. It was a good game for Serbian-Croatian guard Petar Aranitovic (194-1994, agency: AltusBasket) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 assists. Guard Sergi Costa (189-1996) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Almansa players scored in double figures. Brazilian center Felipe Dos Anjos (218-1998) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Brazilian point guard Rafael Luz (186-1992, agency: Interperformances) added 8 points and 6 assists in the effort for Andorra. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Almansa moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Ourense. Andorra at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Palencia. Almansa will play against higher ranked Gipuzkoa (#9) in San Sebastian in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Andorra will play on the road against Oviedo (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
