The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Kapfenberg Bulls was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans forced 19 Kapfenberg Bulls turnovers. The former international guard Daniel Friedrich (181-1992) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 assists for the winners and American power forward Urald King (198-1990, college: SE Oklahoma) chipped in 10 points and 14 rebounds. Five Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans' coach Anton Mirolybov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Lesley Varner Jr (201-1998, college: UTRGV) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian forward Nemanja Krstic (205-1993) scored 14 points.
