Second Stage Round 4: Vanoli Cremona - Forli 82-88
Date: April 23, 2023
Rather expected game when one of their biggest challengers Vanoli Cremona (4-4) was defeated at home by first ranked Forli (6-2) 88-82 on Sunday. Forli made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Nathan Adrian (206-1995, college: WVU, agency: Diamond Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Vincent Sanford (193-1990, college: Dayton) who added 19 points and 7 steals during the contest. At the losing side American power forward AJ Pacher (208-1992, college: Wright St., agency: Players Group) responded with 21 points and naturalized Ivorian forward Joseph Mobio (199-1998) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Vanoli Cremona players scored in double figures. Vanoli Cremona's coach Demis Cavina tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Forli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-2 record, which they share with Treviglio and Agrigento. Loser Vanoli Cremona dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Forli will meet at home league's second-placed Treviglio in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vanoli Cremona will play against Pistoia and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the Serie A just one year after relegation.
