There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Sluc Nancy (11-19) defeated at home higher ranked SIG Strasbourg (13-17) 80-72 on Tuesday. American point guard Frank Mason III (180-1994, college: Kansas) notched 17 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Stephane Gombauld (205-1997) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy's coach Sylvain Lautie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international guard Paul Lacombe (198-1990) did not help to save the game for SIG Strasbourg. American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis) added 11 points. Newly promoted Sluc Nancy maintains sixteenth position with 11-19 record, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez.
