Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Skrljevo and 11th ranked Zabok had identical 9-20 record. This time Skrljevo used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Zabok 104-87 on Wednesday night. Skrljevo shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Zabok's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Derryck Thornton (190-1997, college: Boston Coll.) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 assists. Forward Luka Barisic (208-1998, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American point guard RJ Glasper (183-1998, college: UIW) produced 19 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and his fellow American import Tim Bond (201-1995, college: EMU) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for the guests. Five Skrljevo and four Zabok players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Skrljevo have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Zabok dropped to the tenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Gorica. Skrljevo will meet Gorica (#10) in the next round. Zabok will play against Alkar in Sinj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
