The most exciting game of round 29 in the EBL took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Legia (19-10) to fourth ranked Stal (19-10) 90-87 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Legia. Stal looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Latvian guard Aigars Skele (193-1992) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international swingman Michal Michalak (196-1993, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Travis Leslie (193-1990, college: Georgia) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Aric Holman (208-1997, college: MSU) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Legia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stal moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Legia. Stal is looking forward to face Anwil (#6) in Wloclawek in the next round. Legia will play at home against Enea Zastal and is hoping to win this game.
