Regular Season Round 32: Stade Rochelais - ASA 84-103

Rather predictable result when ninth ranked ASA (16-16) outscored on the road 12th ranked La Rochelle (13-19) 103-84 on Friday. ASA shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-1988, college: Wofford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 assists and American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (200-1991, college: Cedarville) who added 26 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four ASA players scored in double figures. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Javon Masters (183-1994, college: UNB, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 23 points and American point guard Robert Turner III (190-1993, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) scored 21 points. La Rochelle's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. ASA maintains ninth position with 16-16 record, which they share with Evreux. Newly promoted La Rochelle keeps the twelfth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Denain-Voltaire and St. Chamond. ASA will meet at home ALM Evreux (#10) in the next round. La Rochelle will play against Denain Voltaire and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
