We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Sinj where 11th ranked Zabok (9-22) was crushed by twelfth ranked Alkar (9-22) 114-87 on Saturday. Alkar shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Lovre Basic (180-1995) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 assists for the winners and Bosnian center Imran Polutak (209-1996) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds. Five Alkar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Luksa Buljevic (200-2002, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 24 points and American point guard RJ Glasper (183-1998, college: UIW) scored 15 points and 8 assists. Alkar moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Zabok and Gorica. Zabok lost third consecutive game. Alkar will meet higher ranked Skrljevo (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zabok will play against Bosco and hope to secure a win.
