Regular Season Round 28: La Matanza - Boadilla 97-66

There was no surprise in Las Palmas where 14th ranked Boadilla (3-23) was crushed by fifth ranked La Matanza (17-10) 97-66 on Saturday. La Matanza forced 20 Boadilla turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Boadilla's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Romen Hernandez (200-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Alberto Hernandez (183-1999) who added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five La Matanza players scored in double figures. At the losing side Haustin Santana responded with 22 points and Raul Perez (194-1992) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. La Matanza maintains fifth position with 17-10 record. Boadilla lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 23 games lost. They share the position with Jovens and Valladolid.
