There was no surprise in La Palma where 12th ranked Santa Cruz (6-20) was defeated by eighth ranked Aridane (12-14) 58-53 on Saturday. Aridane forced 23 Santa Cruz turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of French power forward Philippe Correia (203-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Alejandro Orozco (189-2004) who added 14 points during the contest. At the losing side Turkish forward Erkam Kiris (203-1998, college: Davis & Elkins) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and forward Joel Juarez (196-2002, agency: BIG) scored 14 points. Santa Cruz's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aridane moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams.
