There was an upset when 4th placed Piombino (19-10) was edged at home by twelfth ranked Oleggio (11-18) 92-90 on Sunday. Andrea Colussa (202-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Matteo Maruca (185-1997) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Center Edoardo Tiberti (203-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and naturalized Slovenian Denis Alibegovic (195-1999, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Piombino players scored in double figures. Oleggio moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Piombino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Legnano K. and San Vendemiano. Oleggio will meet at home Campus Varese (#15) in the next round.
