Important game to mention about took place in Wloclawek. Third ranked Stal (20-10) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Anwil (17-13) 88-86 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Anwil. Stal players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Latvian guard Aigars Skele (193-1992) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists to lead the effort and Montenegrin Nemanja Djurisic (202-1992, college: Georgia) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) by the former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-1989) did not help to save the game for Anwil. American power forward Malik Williams (211-1998, college: Louisville) added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Five Stal and four Anwil players scored in double figures. Anwil's coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Stal maintains third position with 20-10 record having just two points less than leader Slask, which they share with Legia. Anwil at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Trefl and Czarni.
