But Pau-Lacq-Orthez was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Nancy 83-73 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of American Mike Scott (203-1988, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Caleb Walker (194-1989, college: Nebraska) who added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-1991) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American point guard Michael Stockton (185-1989, college: Westminster, UT) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach Eric Bartecheky rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Sluc Nancy maintains sixteenth position with 12-20 record. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the seventeenth place with 21 games lost. Sluc Nancy will meet at home bottom-ranked Provence Basket (#18) in the next round. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against SIG Strasbourg and hope to secure a win.
