Artland Dragons outrebounded Lions 39-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Artland Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American forward DeVondre Perry (196-1999, college: Albany) scored 26 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Demetrius Ward (188-1990, college: W.Michigan) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Ben Shungu (188-1997, college: Vermont) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Ivorian guard Bazoumana Kone (190-1993, college: Bremerhaven) scored 10 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
