Regular Season Round 31: Manresa - Valencia 87-82

There was an upset when higher ranked Valencia (16-15) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Manresa (10-21) 87-82 on Sunday. Manresa made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Devin Robinson (203-1995, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Jerrick Harding (185-1998, college: Weber St.) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American James Webb III (203-1993, college: Boise St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American-Armenian guard Chris Jones (188-1993, college: Angelo St.) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Manresa moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Girona. Loser Valencia keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Manresa will meet higher ranked Unicaja (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Valencia will play against Real Madrid having rather not much hope for a victory.
