Regular Season Round 32: Albacete - Melilla 84-90

Bottom-ranked Melilla managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Albacete 90-84. Albacete was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-1989, agency: Helping Ballers) who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Samuel Rodriguez (202-1997) supported him with 26 points and 4 assists. Even 14 points and 7 assists by point guard Guillem Ferrando (186-2002) did not help to save the game for Albacete. Forward Ivan Aurrecoechea (204-1995, college: NM State) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Melilla (7-25) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with defeated Albacete. Melilla will play against higher ranked Caceres (#14) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Albacete will play against Valladolid and hopes to get back on the winning track.
