Regular Season Round 33: Nancy - Fos-Provence 69-73

An interesting game took place in Nancy where higher ranked Nancy (19-14) was upset on its own court by twelfth ranked Fos-Provence (14-19) 73-69 on Tuesday. Fos-Provence forced 19 Nancy turnovers and outrebounded them 33-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2002) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Center Lionel Colson (206-2002) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Fos-Provence's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Guillaume Grotzinger (195-2004) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and Cameroonian Yves Mballa (199-2003) added 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. Fos-Provence moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Nancy keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Fos-Provence will meet at home league's second-placed Limoges CSP in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nancy will play against Gravelines (#14) and hope to secure a win.
