It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Voluntari's pressure prevailed and they won that period 20-10 extending their advantage to 15 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Eric Thompson (204-1993, college: Pacific) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Lucas Tohatan (187-1999) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Voluntari players scored in double figures. Voluntari's coach Ainars Bagatskis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Finnish Topias Palmi (195-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Cortez Edwards (188-1997, college: Southern Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Craiova.
