The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Laguna S. won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Focsani dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Laguna S.'s 24. They outrebounded Laguna S. 44-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Focsani looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian point guard Pavle Reljic (193-1993) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Jordan Swopshire (201-1995, college: Colgate) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Swopshire is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Georgian forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and British forward Will Saunders (201-1991, college: Charleston So.) scored 16 points.
