Quarter-Finals Round 1: Bonn - Chemnitz 94-63
Date: May 17, 2023
Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Chilean Sebastian Herrera (193-1997) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. American-North Macedonian point guard TJ Shorts (175-1997, college: UC Davis) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Shorts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Nelson Weidemann (190-1999) answered with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international power forward Jonas Richter (206-1997) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Chemnitz. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
