There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Manresa (12-22) outscored at home higher ranked Gran Canaria (19-15) 105-75 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Gran Canaria 39-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Manresa looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Senegalese guard Brancou Badio (188-1999) scored 24 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Jerrick Harding (185-1998, college: Weber St.) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side French power forward Damien Inglis (204-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Argentinian Nicolas Brussino (205-1993) scored 8 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manresa moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Zaragoza. Loser Gran Canaria keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Joventut.
