Cluj Napoca grabbed 3-2 lead in the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Cluj Napoca. Oradea managed to win third quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Brazilian Leonardo Meindl (201-1993) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Emanuel Cate (207-1997) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Lithuanian Donatas Tarolis (205-1994) produced 18 points and American forward Mark Ogden (206-1994, college: Utah Tech) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
