The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Vienna won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BC Vienna 39-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by BC Vienna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Dominic Green (198-1997, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Urald King (198-1990, college: SE Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. The former international guard Bogic Vujosevic (192-1992) answered with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Enis Murati (194-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points in the effort for BC Vienna.
