Semi-Finals Game 3: Sigortam.net - Samsunspor 79-85

It looked good early as Sigortam.net took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Samsunspor had a 24-17 second period charge getting the lead and Sigortam.net was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-85. Samsunspor made 23-of-24 charity shots (95.8 percent) during the game. Sigortam.net was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Diante Watkins (175-1990, college: RMU) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Goktug Bas (201-2001) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Samsunspor's coach Ilker Salman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Can Ozcan (202-1989) came up with 20 points and forward Umut Gecen (-1997) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Sigortam.net in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
