But Czarni was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Stargard 81-61 on Friday night. American guard Devon Daniels (196-1998, college: NC State) stepped up and scored 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Stephen Brown Jr (180-1996, college: Bucknell) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Spojnia players scored in double figures. Spojnia's coach Sebastian Machowski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international swingman Michal Michalak (196-1993) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian center Benas Griciunas (210-1994, college: EWU) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Spojnia will meet Suzuki Arka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Czarni will play against Stal in Ostrow Wielkopolski and hope to win that game.
