Regular Season Round 1: Froya Basket - Asker Aliens 109-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Asker Aliens in Laksevag on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Froya Basket 109-81. Froya Basket outrebounded Asker Aliens 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Froya Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Serbian Ognjen Nisavic (195-1992) stepped up and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Valen Tejada (-2000) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and Swedish point guard Sebastian Sjoberg (186-2000) scored 17 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Froya Basket and four Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Froya Basket is looking forward to face Gimle in Bergen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asker Aliens will play at home against Centrum and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
