Angers used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Saint-Amand 62-50 on Saturday night. American swingman Julie Wojta (185-1989, college: Green Bay) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guinean forward Masseny Kaba (191-1998, college: UCF) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Angers' coach Aurelie Bonnan used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Emmanuelle Tahane (185-1999, college: URI) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Japreece Dean (168-1996, college: UCLA) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Angers will meet Lyon on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hainaut will play against Flammes in Charleville and hope to win that game.
