Regular Season Round 2: Uppsala - Jamtland 2 69-66

There was a surprise result when Uppsala edged at home Jamtland 2 69-66 on Sunday. Uppsala forced 19 Jamtland 2 turnovers. Strangely Jamtland 2 outrebounded Uppsala 51-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard John Imbia (177-2000) notched 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Marcus Stalberg (190-2002) supported him with 20 points. Even 23 points and 5 rebounds by Charlie Viklund did not help to save the game for Jamtland 2. Forward Hugo Waldeck (202-2001) added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Uppsala will meet at home AIK 2 in the next round where they are favorite. Jamtland 2 will play against Aros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
