Regular Season Round 2: Arka - Spojnia 86-96

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Suzuki Arka in Gdynia on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Spojnia 96-86. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Devon Daniels (196-1998, college: NC State) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward Wesley Gordon (205-1994, college: Colorado) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Spojnia's coach Sebastian Machowski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-1995) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Suzuki Arka. Five Spojnia and four Suzuki Arka players scored in double figures. Spojnia is looking forward to face Stal in Ostrow Wielkopolski in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suzuki Arka will play on the road against WKS Slask in Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
