Regular Season Round 3: Hyeres-Toulon - Besancon 113-66

Hyeres-Toulon used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Besancon 113-66 on Friday night. Hyeres-Toulon dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Besancon's 28. Hyeres-Toulon forced 20 Besancon turnovers and outrebounded them 41-22 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hyeres-Toulon looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Besancon's players. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Junior Ouattara (191-2000) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Quentin Losser (202-1999) accounted for 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Hyeres-Toulon's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Anthony Da Silva (185-2001) came up with 12 points and 6 assists and naturalized Ivorian forward Remi Dibo (201-1991, college: WVU) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Besancon in the defeat. Five Besancon players scored in double figures. Hyeres-Toulon will meet Caen (#5) on the road in the next round. Besancon will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#2) and hope to win that game.
