No shocking result in a game when Caen (2-1) crushed CFBB (0-3) in Paris 107-57 on Friday. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 24 and made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Caen forced 22 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 43-19 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by CFBB's players. It was an exceptional evening for center Alexis Thomas (208-1995) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Yanik Blanc (188-1999) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. Five Caen players scored in double figures. Caen's coach Stephane Eberlin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yannis Allard (199-2007) came up with 16 points and point guard Talis Soulhac (186-2006) added 11 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Caen will meet at home Hyeres-Toulon (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play against Saint Vallier (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
