Regular Season Round 2: Bytom - Gliwice 2 90-58

There was a surprise result in Bytom where Polonia smashed Gliwice 2 90-58 on Saturday. Polonia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Gliwice 2's 28. They outrebounded Gliwice 2 39-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Polonia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Filip Pruefer (208-1996) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-1987) chipped in 17 points. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Guard Samuel Guslawski (191-2006) produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lukasz Laski (189-2005) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polonia will meet Tarn.Gory in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gliwice 2 will play against Cracovia and hope to win that game.
