A very close game took place in Lucenec between Komarno and Lucenec. Komarno got a very close victory on the road over Lucenec. Komarno managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Israeli point guard Amit Ebo (180-1999) notched 22 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American guard Tyrese Williams (190, college: Quinnipiac, agency: VM Hoops Agency) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Komarno players scored in double figures. Even 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Montenegrin forward Vasilije Knezevic (202-1996) did not help to save the game for Lucenec. Lithuanian Karolis Sapiega (199-1999) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Komarno will meet at home Spisski Rytieri in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lucenec will play against Inter Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
