Regular Season Round 3: AIK Basket - Ockelbo 87-68

Very expected game when Ockelbo (1-3) was smashed by AIK Basket (3-0) in Solna 87-68 on Saturday. AIK Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ockelbo's 40 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. AIK Basket forced 19 Ockelbo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Olle Welander (-2000) who led the winners and scored 23 points. Nassim Mrabty (-1999) accounted for 10 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four AIK Basket players scored in double figures. AIK Basket's coach Fred Drains used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Jeremy Burright (198-1990, college: Lower Columbia) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Edvin Stark (183-1999) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ockelbo in the defeat. AIK Basket will meet at home Wetterbygden (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ockelbo will play against IK Eos (#5) and hope to win that game.
