Regular Season Round 4: Strasbourg - St-Quentin 110-55

Strasbourg can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat St-Quentin (0-2) 110-55 on Saturday. Strasbourg dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to St-Quentin's 40. Strasbourg forced 32 St-Quentin turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by St-Quentin's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Matheo Coffi (203-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 15-of-16 shooting from the field) and guard Bastien Rieber (187-2005) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Strasbourg players scored in double figures. Strasbourg's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Omar-Femi Alaby-Badiane (202-2004) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Algerian forward Mehdi Bouhmama (196-2004) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Strasbourg (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser St-Quentin still closes the standings with two games lost. Strasbourg will meet at home higher ranked Bourg (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. St-Quentin will play against the league's leader ASVEL (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
