There was an upset when Zgierz was defeated on the road by Poznanskie Ekspresy 68-62 on Saturday. Poznanskie Ekspresy forced 23 Zgierz turnovers and had a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Juliusz Baranski (194-1996) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Jakub Rogulski (198-1994) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Poznanskie Ekspresy players scored in double figures. Poznanskie Ekspresy's coach Tomasz Baszak used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Hubert Lewandowski (192-1997) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Bartosz Stepien (194-2003) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Poznanskie Ekspresy will meet Tarnowo Podg. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zgierz will play against UMK Torun and hope to win that game.
