Regular Season Round 1: Pula-Orca - KAZL Split 74-101

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pula-Orca in Zagreb on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by KAZL Split 101-74. KAZL Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Power forward Petra Bozan (190-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners and American power forward Hannah Langhi (188-1998, college: Cent Arkansas) chipped in 23 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four KAZL Split players scored in double figures. KAZL Split's coach Anita Rade felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international guard Lana Packovski (172-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and center Karolina Skare (183-2005) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. KAZL Split is looking forward to face Ragusa in Dubrovnik in the next round. Pula-Orca's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zagreb to the arena Zagreb.
