Very expected game in Steinsel where Soleuvre was crushed by Amicale 98-70 on Saturday. Amicale outrebounded Soleuvre 59-35 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Soleuvre's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Mikayla Ferenz (178-1996, college: Idaho, agency: LBM Management) who scored 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Alexia Allesch (185-1998, college: Seton Hall) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds. Amicale's coach Ernest Gruskovnjak felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Bre Gunnels (185-1999, college: UNI) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Deijah Blanks (178, college: St.Edward's) added 35 points (!!!) and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Amicale will meet Contern on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Soleuvre will play against Les Sangliers and hope to win that game.
